Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

A KTP  is a partnership between your organisation (the company), the University (the knowledge base) and a recent graduate (KTP associate). Working with your organisation, the associate leverages the knowledge, skills and technology available within the University of Derby under close supervision and support of an academic expert. Together, the partnership delivers projects designed to address a critical business issue. The overall aim of the KTP is to improve the impact and efficacy of your organisation in an area that you have identified as a high priority, fostering a culture of innovation.

A KTP is part-funded by a Innovate UK grant. On average, projects costs around £92.5k per year.

The typical grant rate contributions are:

  • for large businesses and public sector organisations: 50%
  • for micro, small and medium-sized businesses:67%
  • for not-for-profit businesses of any size: 75%

Have you identified a problem with maths anxiety within your organisation? Are there any other challenges associated with maths anxiety/attitudes/confidence, including measurement, data analysis, intervention design? Interested in how a KTP might work for your organisation?
